Chocolate Covered Frozen Banana Bites

I made these chocolicious tasty snack for my nieces and they all went nuts over it! They were gone in a jiffy! The kids love to go swimming. We are scheduled to go swimming in the coming months but for the time being, they enjoy swimming in the inflatable pool. It's a great way to cool off this summer. The water gets dirty in just 2 days so we have to replace it after 2 uses. Imagine how much will our next water bill be! Anyway, here's the recipe for the chocolate covered frozen banana bites.

Ingredients:

bananas cut into 1 inch thick
melted chocolate chips ( I used the microwave in melting them.)
crushed nuts, marshmallows, sprinkles
toothpicks

Procedure:

Stick the toothpick into each banana and freeze for 1 hour.
Dip each piece of banana in melted chocolate.
Roll in marshmallows, crushed nuts or sprinkles.
Put back in the fridge and freeze for 1 hour
Let rest at room temperature for at least 10-20 mins before serving
Enjoy!

Add a bit of canola oil if the melted chocolate is quite thick.

Snack attack!

this is such a nice idea! madali ba syang kainin? hehe just wondering since frozen ang banana, baka nde sya madali kagatin and you'll end up eating just the melted chocolate? Naku, this is the easiest way to substitute cake pops ah... hehe kasing ganda din eh. Another great idea for my little one's second merienda bday party! Super thanks!

hi anney, thanks for leaving a note in my blog about my questions. you know what i did with this frozen banana? after dipping it in chocos, i served it agad kasi hindi makapaghintay ang mga anak ko. they loved it best kasi frozen lollipop ang dating, mas gusto ko rin na frozen pa sya, refreshing lalo na kapag mainit. and i think i wont be able to serve it on IC's birthday party kasi it would turn into mash after a few hours, sayang naman.

Happy na namn ang mga kidlets! ...pati na rin mga kids at <3!hihihi!
