Ice Cube Pops - Make Ice Pops using Ice cube Trays

Summer is almost over! The kiddos requested for more ice pops so I thought of putting our ice cube trays to good use. You don't need to have fancy Ice Pop molds to make some homemade popsicles. Just fill the ice cube tray with your kids' favorite fruit juice and place in freezer until partially frozen. Cover with plastic cling wrap then insert the toothpicks through the plastic wrap into each cube cavity and return the tray to the freezer. Freeze for several hours until firm and you'll enjoy a yummy icy treat . It's simple and super easy!

I also used a star shaped ice tray

Club Balai Isabel Talisay, Batangas

I was a little dubious about going to Club Balai Isabel after reading some bad reviews about the poorly maintained rooms, stinky toilets and the crawling/flying insects all over the place. I had already paid for the reservation fee so off we went to check out the place. We were lucky to have a clean and tidy room furnished with a TV, small refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle and AC. Complimentary bottled water and coffee were provided. We paid Php 8,217 for an overnight stay inclusive of breakfast. I liked our room but overall, I was a bit disappointed with our stay as the resort did not meet my expectations. The food quality was not great. I ordered Halo halo in coconut shell and it was watery. I thought it was halo-halo juice. lol! Our main purpose was to check out the Mobideep ( floating pools) but I got frustrated upon seeing it. I thought it would look really nice like in the picture posted on their website but I was totally wrong. The guard told us the mobideep was destroyed by typhoon Ondoy and it has just been rebuilt. It is supposed to be a cluster of linked floating pools but there are only 2 at the moment. They were charging us Php250/ pax in order for us to use the mobideep. We just opted to go swimming into their not so infinity pool. The floating pools only look good in the pics I took but in an up close view, the mobideep looks so so. Sorry to say but I was not impressed. But what I loved about the place were the lush greenery and the stunning view of Taal Lake and volcano. Anyway, I had fun photographing my little niece Ykaie which I will post next time.

We stayed on the second floor of this Villa ( Ylang Ylang Villa)

Our room contains 3 queen sized beds

The trees and the reclining beach loungers are a huge distraction to the infinity effect of the pool specially when people start sitting on the loungers

Ice Cream Day

It's always sweltering hot outside as well as inside the house! The sun was blazing and the kids were ready for a swim. They wanted some frozen treats before dipping into the pool. What better way to cool off than with a scoop or two of Ice cream with lots of toppings! What a perfect indulgence on a hot summer afternoon! I prepared some toppings for our Ice cream day.

Ice Cream toppings include marshmallows, m&m's, chocolate rice crispies, colorful candy sprinkles, gummy bears, crushed oreos, and wafer sticks
