Decorating Gingerbread Mini Village

The kids got to decorate Gingerbread mini village today. The kit includes 5 sets of gingerbread house panels, colorful candies, white icing mix, Icing bags and tips, red food color and cardboard bases. One of my nieces was not able to join so I decorated one of the houses. I assembled them last night and attached each house to the cardboard base using the icing. My Aunt suggested I reward the best decorated mini house. There were 7 judges and Garland Getaway got the most votes. It was decorated by Djor ( my niece in red top) Second prize went to my nephew Dhenzel who decorated Colorful Suite. Yeah it was unfair for the 2 little ones to compete with the 2 older kids so I also gave them money for the effort. Anyway, the houses were all wonderfully decorated! Ykaie was more busy eating the candies than decorating her own house. lol! My nephew helped her in decorating.

Is that granulated sugar acted as the snow of the village?

I am very impressed. The children really paid attention and added a lot of nice details to the houses. They did an amazing job judging the best one would have been very hard.
