Sinigang na Hipon ( Shrimps in tamarind soup)


I cooked dinner tonight; shrimps and vegetables simmered in a tangy tamarind soup base. It's yummy! It can be eaten as is or with rice.



Ingredients:

1/2 kilo shrimps
1 radish, sliced
1 bundle kangkong (water spinach)
1 onion
5 tomatoes
10 pieces okras
2 packets tamarind soup base
chili or jalapeno pepper
5-6 cups water
fish sauce to taste

Bring water to boil. Add radish, tomato, and onion. Simmer for 2 minutes. Add shrimps,okras and jalapeno pepper Simmer for 5-8 minutes. Lastly, add the water spinach and tamarind soup base. Do not over cook the vegetables. Season with fish sauce. Serve hot.

Paborito ko tong Sinigang na Hipon, ang mahal lang kasi, kaya pati ulo need na sispsipin..Hehehe
