We had put together a simple menu for our Christmas Eve dinner. Our traditional Christmas midnight meal would not be complete without the homemade ham, Queso de bola and a steamy cup of rich and thick chocolate de batirol. Sis , her hubby and Ykaie were not able to celebrate with us this year coz they celebrated with sis's parents in law.
We had Chicken Lollipops, Bacon wrapped shrimps, Manicotti
Pastrami, Bacon, fried dumplings, ham and cheese

For our Christmas Party, I baked some cupcakes and made lime gelatin for dessert. I was also in charge of making the salad so I thought of making 7 layer salad.
Lime gelatin with pineapple chunks and cherries
7 layer salad ( lettuce, hard boiled eggs, cucumber, ham, thousand island dressing cheese, bacon)
We also had stuffed squids, baked orange rosemary chicken, fruit salad, baked Rigatoni, Pork and spareribs barbeque, fish fingers, corn gelatin and lemon-lime pandan juice.
My brother with my nieces and nephews
The kids had fun with the parlor games!
How was your Christmas celebration? I'm looking forward to celebrating New Year's Day!
I made some Rocky road today and baked an assortment of Christmas cookies last night. I'm going to give these to my friends and cousins. The ones in the snowman bottle goes to sis. I didn't measure everything in making the rocky road. I just alternately layered the melted bittersweet chocolate and the sweet goodies. I was able to make 8 bags of rocky road treats and 6 bags of cookies. The extra goodies were eaten by sis's loyal internet cafe customers.
Ingredients: bittersweet chocolate chips marshmallows glazed green cherries raisins walnuts
marshmallows, raisins, walnuts and glazed green cherries
I lined the pan with aluminum foil before pouring the first layer of melted chocolate then topped it with marshmallows, nuts, raisins and cherries.
I added sprinkles on top and drizzled with green candy melts before putting in the refrigerator to set.
Take out from the fridge and let it sit for a few minutes to soften a bit before cutting into pieces.
Put in Christmas treat bags
sprinkles, candies and chocolates I used to decorate the cookies

Cute Christmas treat bags
I had already distributed some of the treat bags to my friends and cousins.
I started baking Christmas cookies yesterday. I'm planning to bake an assortment of Christmas cookies in the coming days to give to my cousins. My nieces enjoyed snacking on them while they were having fun with their coloring books. I decided to hold a coloring contest just for fun.

This award is from a great friend Jenny. Thank you for remembering me and being so kind to pass this on to me.
Blogging for friendship award
This is another award from a wonderful friend Bluedreamer. Thank you so much! I appreciate the gesture.
True friendship is something very special. Friendship is a priceless gift that cannot be bought or sold. I'm very thankful I've met so many friends through blogging. I treasure our friendship though we have only met online that's why I'm passing this onto all of you!
I assembled this cupcake bouquet for Ykaie's garden themed party. I didn't use buttercream frosting for the cupcakes coz I was afraid it will melt and fall apart due to the hot weather. I used melted chocolate and colorful sprinkles. It set quickly and perfectly!
I used a glue gun to attach the styrofoam ball into the embellished terracotta pot. I then glued some strips of green japanese paper all over the styro for a grassy effect.
I inserted bamboo skewers into the styrofoam ball and attached the cupcakes all the way around. (You can also use toothpicks)

I was also planning to arrange the fruit skewers into a terracotta pot but I saw this picket fence planter box and thought it was cute. I used a floral foam for the base and embellished the planter box with vines and a ladybug.
Cookie cutters I used to cut out shapes.
Ain't they pretty?

This is the candy buffet I set up. The kids as well as the adults had fun filling up their loot bags!
Ykaie's Dirt cake with gummy worms. I cooked chocolate pudding and alternately layered it with crushed oreo cookies.
